Invisible to Invincible ("i2i") is a community-based organization that celebrates and affirms Asians & Pacific Islanders who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, and Queer in the Chicago area.

We are a member organization of the National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance, a federation of LGBTQ Asian American, South Asian, Southeast Asian, and Pacific Islander organizations..

i2i was founded in 2005 as a multi-gender, multi-ethnic group where people of all sexual orientations and gender identities would be welcome. We strive to be a safe and inclusive space for adoptees and multiracial/multiethnic individuals.

Each month, we host potluck socials at different locations throughout Chicago. These events are open to current and new i2i members, supporters, allies, and friends. We also hold social events for special occasions, like marching in Chicago Dyke March in Pride Month and our Winter Fundraiser. We also have a monthly group for LGBTQQIA AAPIs and their families.

Part of i2i's mission is to increase awareness and visibility of API's in LGBTQQIA communities and of LGBTQQIA people in API communities. We host and co-sponsor educational workshops and events on a regular basis on topics like API LGBTQQIA history, silence/taboo/stigma around sexuality in API communities, and around racial, immigrant, and gender justice from the perspective of LGBTQQIA APIs.

.Community Building.

As a member organization of NQAPIA and a part of Chicago's vibrant LGBTQ communities, we participate in community efforts at the local and national levels. i2i has been a part of the LGBT Mayoral Forum Coalition and the Chicago Dyke March Collective.
